GLASS GARDEN MUSHROOMS

Glass Mushrooms : Popping up all over mushrooms will add appeal to the front or corner of any garden bed.

A 'curvy' vase makes an excellent stem for one of my "glass mushrooms". To add stability, there's actually a glass plate glued to the bottom of the vase, but it's covered with leaf-litter, so can't be seen. It prevents the top-heavy mushroom from toppling over! A variety of glass mushrooms, ranging from large to super-small! Any size bowl can be made into a mushroom! Just match it with a suitable 'stem'. I've used a 'sherry' glass on the smallest mushroom & tall, glass vases for the larger mushrooms, which also have a plate glued to their base to provide stability in the garden. Soil, mulch or leaf-litter can be used to hide the 'base plate'. Tags: Glass Mushrooms, Repurpose, upcycling glass dishes, garden junk, vintage dishes, op-shop, Made By Mim

Mushroom Solar Lights to bring light to the darkness - this is recycling and salvage at its finest; a couple of pieces of crystal or glass, and an old solar light, and Voila; something cool and funky for your garden.

A medium sized glass mushroom made from a wine glass and small glass bowl. I have glued a glass plate to the base of the wine glass for stability, to prevent it toppling over in the garden. The plate can be covered with soil or leaf-litter and hidden from view. See the next photo for an example of the 'invisible base plate' covered by leaf-litter.
