Quarter 3 Parent Conference Chat form - Our county is moving more towards "standards" based discussion with parents during Parent Report Card Conferences. I made this form to guide my thinking when talking with parents. I highlight the items the student could use more practice with, along with listing letters/sounds/sight words they may not know yet. Then I give suggestions for how they may be able to help their student at home in the "comments" section on the back. $
I make writing REPORT CARD COMMENTS a complicated process. I print up a copy of my students' previous report cards, compare grades, get out my behavior records for each student, AR reports, and current gradesj, and write at least a paragraph's worth of commentary for each student. This, though, seems much MORE SIMPLE!!!
