Cleaning Burnt Pans: Fill the bottom of the pan with a layer of water. Add 1 cup vinegar. Bring the pan to the boil. Remove the pan from the heat and add 2 tbsp baking soda. Let fizz. Empty the pan and scrub. For stubborn marks that won't come off, make a paste of baking soda and a couple of drops of water. Let sit and then scrub again.
