PSALM 5 O Lord, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God,for I pray to no one but you.Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness; you cannot tolerate the sins of the wicked. Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence, for you hate all who do evil. You will destroy those who tell lies. The Lord detests murderers and deceivers. Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe. Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me.Make your way plain for me to follow. My enemies cannot speak a truthful word. Their deepest desire is to destroy others.Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with flattery. O God, declare them guilty. Let them be caught in their own traps.Drive them away because of their many sins, for they have rebelled against you.But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever.Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love. ELEVATE YOUR MIND! So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language (Colossians 3:5-8). When we become new creatures in Christ Jesus we can no longer do things as we used to. He desires for us to die to our flesh and leave our past lives behind us. Many feel as though they have more time to give their lives to Jesus and obey His commandments- but what if you were to die in your sins? Would the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life be worth risking your eternal resting place? How can we represent Christ if we look the same as the world? We can't! We have to think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth (Colossians 3:2). Repent and worship Jesus Christ in spirit and truth. God bless you! LET THERE BE LIGHT! Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life" (John 8:12). You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden...In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father (Matthew 5:14, 16). While in the world Jesus said that He is Light of the world. He told his disciples that they, "are the light of the world," and this holds true to present day Christians. The light that is within us is not because of who we are but because of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a child of God, we are vessels of His light. It is up to us to yield to the Holy Spirit and allow His light to shine through. Sin dims the light within. We grow numb and callous to His convictions and the light can be consumed with darkness. Follow the ways of Jesus Christ and allow His light to shine within you. God bless you! OBEDIENCE IS BETTER! But Samuel replied, "What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams (1 Samuel 15:22). We are under grace in the New Testament and no longer sacrifice in the ways of old. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice and our example. Thus, as Christians we are instructed to deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Him (Matthew 16:24). Obedience shows our Heavenly Father that our hearts are yielded to Him and His will and not our own. It shows our submission and commitment to Him. When we are obedient to Him we are walking in faith, we may not understand what He is having us do but in this faith walk we are trusting that He knows what is best. Choose this day to be obedient to Jesus Christ. Repent for wrong doings and return to His beloved fold. God bless you! WHO DO YOU SEEK FIRST? Many times we seek others for approval, love, and to fulfill a longing or yearning instead of seeking and running to the arms of our Heavenly Father. We seek the approval of the world knowing that we are told not to conform to it's ways but to renew our minds (Romans 12:2). The world's ways are filled with sin, and the wages of sin is death... (Romans 6:23). Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need (Matthew 6:33). Who better to seek when we feel lost, unloved, unwanted, misunderstood, etc but the One who created us? He made all the delicate, inner parts of our bodies and knitted us together in our mothers' womb (Psalm 139:13) therefore He knows what we need even before we need it! He is our answer! We need Him in our times of troubles. He gives us peace, rest, comfort, joy, love, refuge, and so much more. He desires for us to live righteously-repent for sins committed unknowingly and knowingly against Him, our fellow brothers and sisters, against ourselves in thoughts, deeds, and/or actions. He desires to bless us. He will give us everything that we need. Love Him. Trust Him. Obey Him. God bless you! PEACE BE STILL! Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm (Mark 4:39). You don't have enough faith," Jesus told them. "I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible (Matthew 17:20)." We have been given the same power and authority by the blood of Jesus Christ to SPEAK to the storms in our lives and all we need is faith the size of a mustard seed and nothing is impossible! Begin to activate your faith! Stand firm on the rock and take back what has been stolen! Take back your peace, love, and joy! Peace be still to the raging storms in your life! Praise Him in the midst of it all. Decide to trust Him and stand on His promises! God bless you all! WE MUST HUMBLE OURSELVES, PRAY AND REPENT! Our country is filled with chaos, confusion, discord, stubbornness, pride, arrogance, vanity, greed, corruption, etc... the enemy has blinded and deafened many by tempting them with things of the world that are leading them astray by the music they listen to, the television they watch, games they play that ALL deal with the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Many are unable to know the difference between fiction and reality. They have accepted what the world says and not what the Word says. They no longer believe in sin because a well known talk show host told them that sin doesn't exist. They no longer uphold their morals because they have been told "you only live once." Those who operate under these guidelines and hold themselves to these standards are not Christ ready. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land (2 Corinthians 7:14). We must turn from our wicked ways and repent. Return to our first love. God bless you all. DO YOU TRUST HIM? Donnie McClurkin has a song entitled, I trust You, Lord. Some of the lyrics include: I know that faith is easy when everything is going well. But can you still believe in Me when your life's a living hell? And when all the things around you seem to quickly fade away. There's just one thing I really want to know. Will you let go? (I'll trust you, Lord) Will you stand on My word? (I'll trust you, Lord). Against all odds will you believe what I have said? (I'll trust You, Lord). What seems impossible ... (I'll trust You, Lord). Will you believe? (I'll trust You, Lord). Every promise that I made will you receive? (Yes, I will trust You, Lord)...When the disciples were in the boat going to the other side with Jesus (Luke 8:24) there was a storm and they panicked. John was exiled to the Isle of Patmos for teaching the Word of God (Revelation 1:9).God chose Gomer, a promiscuous woman, as Hosea's wife (Hosea 1:2).Sometimes we can go through troubled times and situations and feel that because we are being hurt or experience a storm that God isn't in it or we aren't being obedient to Him. However, the disciples were with Christ and they were frightened by the storm. John was obedient yet he was punished and sent to the island of Patmos. Hosea was told to marry Gomer, a woman who had numerous adulterous affairs...Times of trouble come, however He is still with us. We have to trust Him as we go through the process. Does it hurt? Yes. Will we cry? Yes. Ask yourself will you continue to trust Him and stand on His Word. DO YOU LOVE HIM? For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). He has proven His love for us by demoting Himself to flesh, being rejected, being crucified for our sins so that we could have life, a chance if eternal life with Him. He bridged the gap between us and the Father! If He doesn't do anything else He is still worthy of all praise because of who He is. Yet each morning He gives us new grace and mercy. He continues to bless us even when we fail Him. Have we done our part? Loving God means keeping His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome (1 John 5:3). Then He said to the crowd, "If any of you wants to be My follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me (Luke 9:23).You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself (Luke 10:27).' Are we keeping His commandments? Do we want to be led to righteousness? Are we turning from our selfish ways? Dying to our flesh? Taking up the cross and following Him? These are things we must consider when we say we love and are followers of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Worship Him in spirit and in truth! YEARN FOR HIM! We are told to be content in everything but not to be complacent in getting to know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many accept Jesus and do not pursue Him any further. They rely solely on the preachers to teach them about Jesus but do not get to know Him for themselves. God is a triune God, there is so much more to Him- it can't be explained in one sitting. As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God (Psalm 42:1-2) is how we should yearn to know Him. We devote time in getting to know people to establish relationships, we should be doing the same to get to know our God. He wants a relationship with allof His children and He waits to be desired by us. He doesn't force Himself upon anyone. Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7). He desires to know that even if He is silent that we trust Him and will continue to seek Him. Anything worth having doesn't come easy. Don't grow weary, continue to seek Him diligently. God bless you all! I have Faith

Great book in the bible... Matthew

LIVING TO LOVE! We say that we love the Lord however at times our lives do not reflect that we do. We place people and things before and above Him and expect Him to understand and forgive because He is God. We say that we love someone and don't fully understand what it means to truly love. So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover’s life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God (Philipians 1:9-11). Live a life that is pleasing to God. Let us be lights in dark places. May our lights shine so bright that others will want to know where it comes from! We must allow His love to always shine through. KEEP STANDING! The storm rages all around you and you feel as though you can't get your head above the water. You can't seem to catch a break anywhere and no one understands your pain. You have done all that you know to do-THIS is the time to stand and allow The Good Shepherd (John 10:14), The Provider (Philipians 4:19), The Healer (Isaiah 53:4-5), The Anchor of our souls (Hebrews 6:19), The Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), The God who sees all (Hebrews 4:13), knows all (Daniel 2:20-22), and who is with us (Joshua 1:9) do the rest. Allow Him to do what He does best-be God! Continue standing! The enemy can only do so much but God is with you through it all! He will never leave or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8)! Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm (Ephesians 6:13). After you have done all that you can, stand and continue standing! Be anchored in the Lord! God bless you all! HE KEEPS A PROMISE! God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind.Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through (Numbers 23:19)? Our God is The one and only true living God who is of His Word! If He said it, it will happen! It will come to pass! For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie. Though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come; it will not tarry (Habakkuk 2:3). Do not let go of the vision. His promises are Yes and Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). The enemy wants you to think God has forgotten you but He hasn't! The enemy only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He is a liar and the truth isn't in him. He is the father of lies (John 8:44). Believe the Truth, Jesus Christ! Endure until the end. It will manifest-He keeps His promises! God bless you all! HE WILL TURN THINGS AROUND! We often endure various trials that stretch us beyond our "normal" limits. We want to give up because the pain seems unbearable! During these trials we are shown matters that are still in our hearts that the Lord desires to do away with. The pressing and stretching is very uncomfortable however when we go through the fire, we come out unburned and whole! And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them (Isaiah 42:16). Do not be discouraged during this season. Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). Cast all your cares, burdens, concerns at His feet. He sees our pain and will comfort us. Allow Him to turn things around in your life! God bless you all! GIVE IT TO HIM! Depression is often described as feeling sad, blue, and melancholy; severe despondency and dejection, typically felt over a period of time and accompanied by feelings of hopelessness and inadequacy. Many who have not experienced severe depression do not understand why it is so difficult for another to come from among it. If the head/mind is crippled the body has no choice but to follow. The enemy desires to keep us in a place of hopelessness and inadequacy, he doesn't want us to know that this is a spirit assigned to steal, kill, and destroy all that is good and full of Life within us. He doesn't want us to know that we can give all that we feel to Jesus Christ. That we don't have to carry these emotions and feelings around and that they have already been defeated by Jesus Christ on the cross! Satan desires to keep us in a stupor. There, you can't praise Jesus. There, you can't count your trials joy. There, you aren't causing havoc in his kingdom because now he has you contemplating your existence and your motivation to continue. We have to know that these feelings are NOT from our Savior, Jesus Christ! In our own strength we are unable to deal with the weight of the world on our shoulders, thoughts racing in our minds, heavy hearts, restlessness, and hopelessness. His shoulders ARE wide enough to carry our burdens as well as those of others. It is ALWAYS room at the cross for us and all that burdens us. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed (Psalm 34:18). Run into the arms of the one who cares, Jesus Christ! He sees, knows, and understands our pain. Give it to Him. Continue to cast down and rebuke the enemy. Praise Jesus for the victory! God bless you all!
