Hook reluctant readers - Gr4-6ish - with this beautifully illustrated mystery! I used this as a read-aloud during our Unit of Inquiry on visual arts and a literacy focus for mysteries with Gr3s. It was a stretch for some, but the kids were so engaged that it worked really well. Be sure to have a look at www.graemebase.com as well.

These are wonderful! I did the Jack and the Beanstalk photos on a huge beanstalk we made at the preschool. It was so much fun to make the beanstalk out of huge carpet rolls, paint them and the chidlren made leaves to go onto the beanstalk but when they saw their mini cut out photos the next day .... the flurry of excitement was tremendous!
