Walnut Stain I use this recipe for all my prim staining. I make several gallons at a time and is super easy. Just be careful!!! Use gloves. After I have cooked my first batch - I strain it and re-cook for a second batch. It will be just as dark. I keep mine in the fridge and bring it out when I need it.

Make a wire bird - these are SO CUTE - many examples at flickr - quick video of process linked - 3-D and a few flat sculptures - LOVE this! Add to wreaths, handmade nests, stand alone, above a picture frame, I could put them everywhere!
