Acceptance is not submission; it is acknowledgment of the facts of a situation. Then deciding what you're going to do about it. ~This has long been a favorite!
My favorite. Robert Frost
Because, really, most of it won't.
Yep. When I was little I was bitten on my lips by a dog. I have two little scars just above my lips. They have faded over the years, but, if you look close enough you can see them. I don't mind them. They show that I came through something. I was terrified of even small dogs for a long time. Now I have two big dogs of my own. :-)
be proud of your scars. you are a warrior!
Ugh. This is definitely the most difficult thing for me to do. It's funny because people always say I'm such a positive person, but that's only when dealing with issues that aren't mine. I'm always concerned the things I am doing are going to fail, so most of the time I either play it safe or don't play at all. I guess you could say it's a work in progress for me.
The most marvelous little bookstore.
Too many people are wrapped up in the idea that there is only one person out there for you. And if that person treats you poorly(lies, cheats, beats you) then it is a test of real love. No, the only test it should be is to show the world how strong you really are by cutting that destructive force from your life. Let go!!
Keep on keeping on.
