Books Worth Reading
Book #9-Simply Jesus by N.T. Wright. Such a great book-a must read!! Wright does an amazing job of giving the reader info about the history and culture surrounding Jesus' ministry and what that means for Christians today.
Book #14--what can I say, except I like Max Lucado's books. This was a good quick read during Lent.
Love Does | Bob Goff. One of the best books I have ever read.

David Copperfield- Charles Dickens Okay, yes, it's a classic novel and who cares about those? Give this one a chance though. I got it off the Kindle Store because it was free and I needed something free to read. It ended up being one of the best things I've ever read. It actually depressed me when I finished it and it took awhile to get started on another book, because I was so stuck on the characters in this one. Very easy to understand why this was Charles Dickens's favorite work.
David Copperfield (Puffin Classics)
The Call of the Wild is yet another violent novel from Jack London. Despite White Fang being better known in recent times, owing to the success of the Disney movie, Call of the Wild has been cited by some as his best work. Again, the protagonist is an animal - a dog named Buck who is forced into the brutal life of a sled dog.
Heidi by Johanna Spyri. What happens when a little orphan girl is forced to live with her cold and frightening grandfather? The heartwarming answer has engaged children for more than a century. Johanna Spyri’s beloved story offers youngsters an endearing and intelligent heroine, a cast of unique and memorable characters, and a fascinatingportrait of a small Alpine village.
Heidi: believe it or not I read and enjoyed this book and it's sequel
Artemis Fowl- One of my all time faves
One of my favorites. Dickens incorporates several genres in this novel (mystery, crime, romance) yet tells a cohesive and endlessly entertaining story. Pip, who narrates and stars as protagonist, teaches us much about what's important in life as he navigates his rags-to-riches existence and deals with the trials and tribulations of family, love, and money.
Great Expectations- Pip, "nuff said"
