Don't Tell Anyone I Quilt
Just a short time ago (Nov 2010), in exchange for borrowing my never-out-of-the-box sewing machine, a neighbor taught me how to sew. I thought she was going to show me how to thread the bobbin; instead, she said, 'we're going to make a quilt.' One year and six quilts later, I'm hooked. Shhh...don't tell anyone I quilt!
Zig zag quilt. Made with hunky dory quilt fabric. Love this fabric!
Lulu Carter: my swoony bed
Back of t-shirt quilt. Fun purple batik with personal message from parents.
Pretty pattern, super easy and always turns out pretty, no matter what the fabrics. I did this one with batiks. Oriental Garden, by Sue Harvey and Sandra Boobar, Thequiltermag.com, feb/Mar 2011.
Pattern was called "Uneven Set" from T-shirt quilts, by Jane Davila & Linda Oehler Marx. Countryquilter.com.
The prettiest one I've done. A t-shirt quilt for our neighbor and my son's babysitter. Loved how it turned out. 2012. It helped that she had really fun, bright t-shirts to work with.
Prettiest one I've done, for Mom. Pink, blue and chocolate colors...The pattern is Lucky Stars, by Atkinson Designs. Took 20 fabrics. Looks complicated but is pretty easy.
My first quilt - baseball themed, for my son. No pattern, just charms in baseball fabric and dark blue. Back is pale blue minkes. Tied with red embroidery thread.
