What I love about the picture is their hands--the way the mother has her hand on his heart and the other firmly gripping his thigh; the way he's drinking and holding his hand out in the way the Queen would hold her china teacup. I love the way she is intently looking at him while he has the space to check out the world at large. I wonder if that big key around her neck is decorative or does it unlock a home? Gloria Lemay
