A wall dividing the kitchen and breakfast area was removed, uniting the two spaces and making both brighter and more open. The new eating area features an L-shaped banquette, with storage under the benches and room for additional chairs at the table. White paint on trim and table lightens the look of an all-wood kitchen. Wall color of soft yellow picks up the warm undertone of the wood. The wood top on the white serving counter ties it to the cabinets.

Someone should have told me this about 45 years ago....From a young age, children will eat what their parents eat. Therefore, if their parents overeat, they are more likely to overeat as well. Not only must parents encourage healthful eating, they must also model healthful eating to their children. These portion sizes are a good way to determine how much you should be eating.

SO TRUE. I finally have done this...after working long 12 hour shifts in the hospital, I have forced myself to the gym (that is in my apt complex...god I'm lazy) to run at least 20 minutes and do abs everyday. Every other day I'll add in weights for arms or I'll just weight lift instead of running. I can't believe the difference 3 days has made! And I have more energy even after less sleep!!!
