HOW TO cut continuous t-shirt yarn
This 26-Peg CraftSanity Loom is great for making bags, chair cushions, patchwork rugs and square table mats. The loom measures 14.5″ on each side and makes a finished piece measuring about 12″ square. These woven squares can be used as table decorations, hot pads or stitched together to make bags, rugs, table runners, patchwork bed coverings, stuffed toys and more.
Remember those pot-holder looms? Think much bigger! Artist/crafter Crispina ffrench took the idea and scaled it UP. She uses a giant loom to weave cotton tee shirts or wool sweaters in the very same way, to make thick, dramatic rugs. #Rugs #Looms #Weaving #DIY

My grandmother used to make these and called them rag rugs!
I want to make one of these rugs for my living room.
So easy!! Cut old clothes/fabric into strips 1/2 to 1 inch wide. Tie the fabric strips end-to-end (the pattern creator recommends doing this on the go so you don't get tangled). Knit with two strands (aka double stranded, knitting with two strands as one "yarn" so it's extra thick). Neat, I'm definitely doing this!
