Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum - just friggin' cool

Houston Museum of Natural Science - the Americas and Egypt exhibit was really good. There was a temp. exhibit about the history of Texas that was great!

Also in the Pittsburgh International Airport - head to Concourse D to the Warhol Exhibit. Really, it's good.

If you are ever in the Pittsburgh International Airport - go to Concourse C and check out the Mister Rogers exhibit. Seriously.

Old State Capitol State Historic Site We got 30-minute interpreter-conducted tour - it was fun. The costumed volunteers were thrilled we were there, I think we were the only tour of the day.

Smithsonian National Museum of American History - my second fave Smithsonian Institution.

The Buffalo Bill museum. The BB part was okay, but the Iowa history was interesting. The riverboat was pretty damn cool.

Buffalo Bill Museum in LeClaire, Iowa

Norsk Museum. Tiny, if you blink you miss it. Church/museum is located in Norway, Illinois on highway 71 (behind Norway store). open to the public on weekends between the months of June and September, hours 1-5 p.m.

Small, but nice. Railway museum right around the corner for a full day of learning.

Lake County Discovery Museum. Want a spend a couple hours somewhere nice? This is your place, super close to Long Grove and Deer Park to make it a really nice day out.

Going to the Quad cities? The Putnam museum is awesome.

Discovery Center Musem, next to Burpee. Even my 10 year old had fun in a few spots. But the 5 year LOVED it, I had fun too. Great place!

Burpee Museum of Natural History - Rockford. Small, but fun (see Discovery museum)
