Metaphors for life
I love metaphors - especially the internal metaphors we have for our life that drive our beliefs and behaviours - if life is like a war you'll act very differently than if you see it like a garden or a fancy dress party. See my 'Landscaping your life' board for more on using landscapes as a metaphor for life and resolving issues using it. See also my 'Reducing costs in your business' board for gardening as a metaphor for purchasing in business - also see www.thepurchasingcoach.co.uk.
People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within. ~ Elisabeth Kübler-Ross We've got more amazing quote on our Facebook page. ♥ www.facebook.com/... #inspirational #quote #elizabethkublerross
Often the metaphors we have for our life at a moment in time facilitate our stuckness and don't assist in providing solutions to get back on track. This blog looks at solutions when we're thinking we're "Up a creek without a paddle" - other blogs have looked at being stuck in a rut, burying our head in the sand and not wanting to burn bridges. More of these can be found in the Landscaping your life board.
