In one instance, she tells of a relative who was slow, and as he grew older, went from being docile, to violent, and explained that at that time in history, 1 in 10 children were different and how this situation was handled. she also gave wonderful footnotes and references about her sources.

have not checked out the website. I was never afraid to ask questions,(much to the dismay of some)" why did so & so not live together"," what happened when." "how did so & so really die?. Why did so and so move from Ohio if she owned land here, and move west?.Wish I asked how did my great-grandmother support herself after her divorce! .

I wonder if some people are shy about telling their family history, because it may seem dull, no outstanding heros or omg! scoundrels, but that most of us come from pretty much everyday folks. Gonna ask about my greatgrandma & her life.

Also, Do feel weird "talking" to people that comment on your pins? I don't. I find it very interesting. Communication and discussion has everything to do with our history and learning about each other.

Wow! It is amazing how much research your grandmother did. Learning these kinds of stories about where I come from has always been really interesting to me. Like you....I have no problem talking to people that comment on my pins. I like getting to know new people and I would love to talk to you more. It might be easier however, on Facebook. Feel free to add me:
