The Hotel del Salto is located near Tequendama Falls, Bogotá River, Colombia. It was opened in 1924 and closed down in the 1990′s. Some people say that the hotel was haunted and no one wanted to stay there. Others say that the river was very polluted, and this was the reason to shut down the hotel. It is on a cliff overlooking the magnificent waterfall.

But as soon as you get to the top you still have to climb up the steps to get to "Heaven's Gate.” Also on the top is a 500 year old temple"
