This visual example of erosion would help students understand how human activities can affect the landscape. One bottle could represent an untouched forest, another could represent an area with houses built, and another bottle could show land cleared for farming. The students would be able to see how humans can negatively impact Earth's natural processes.
This is a site that encourages reading. My oldest daughter doesn't need encouragement to read but this site is really cool! You can, as the teacher or parent, assign rewards that they will get when they complete a book. They read a book, then take a quiz online, then earn points from their quiz. Fun right?
