I choose this photo because of the exemplifies a lot of elements of design. This photo shows it's "business" by using the majority of "space." It also uses "dot" and "line". It uses shape for the building in the backgrounds which are rectangular. The form gives us that top down tall 3d perspective. The pattern and color to create this friendly, fun life like picture.

Rouen Cathedral by Monet (Impressionism). Monet did a series of paintings of Rouen Cathedral at different times of day and under different atmospheric conditions. His primary concern was to better understand how color and light affects form, which explains his splotchy dabs of paint. He was also interested in the colors of shadows, which previously was thought to have been always grey.
