Frances Drake as 'Chulita' - 1934 - The Trumpet Blows - Directed by Stephen Roberts

I Magnin dress 1970s

Theater costume for music-hall performer May Moore Duprez circa 1910. Materials: Sequins and net on a cotton backing. Every millimeter is encrusted with sequins, each one painstakingly sewn on by hand, and the costume would have shone and sparkled under the stage lights. As she moved the skirt, Duprez's legs would have been revealed surrounded by a froth of underskirts in the finest chiffon, which would also have helped cushion her legs against the weight of the sequined skirt.

Probably my favorite Westwood era. Malcolm McLaren & Vivienne Westwood -1982, from their Buffalo or "Nostalgia of Mud" collection which featured asymmetrical cuts and rough materials like sheepskin and shell or horn details.
