With plenty of fruit, fiber, and protein, this quick shake is a sweet snack you can feel good about. You can also enjoy a larger serving as a healthful breakfast. Look for canned passion fruit nectar with other bottled and canned juices or in the Latin food section of your grocery store. If you can't find it, substitute pineapple juice.

Combining bananas and blueberries with creamy, fat-free yogurt and a hint of agave nectar makes for a rich and satisfying smoothie that's also low in fat. Agave nectar comes from the agave plant–it's sweeter than honey and can be found in most grocery stores. This smoothie fuels you up with a healthy dose of potassium, vitamins C and B6, and plenty of antioxidants.

Smoothie Tips ADD ICE LAST: Adding ice first may cause you to overblend, leaving you with a watery drink. IF YOU USE FROZEN FRUIT: You may not need as much ice. Frozen fruit is as nutrient-packed as fresh—just choose those with no added sugars. NOT A FAN OF DAIRY? Most milk alternatives (soy, rice) have roughly the same calories as 1% milk—about 100 per cup.

Green Machine Smoothie - SEPTEMBER 2012 [[I've tried a few, but am not a huge fan of the "green machine" smoothies/drinks in general. This one was the best I have had though. Don't know that it will make a regular apperarnce on the menu, but will probably pop back up when melons are in season again. Added bonus - all that healthiness for only 162 calories! ]]
