A blurb in the March 15th, 1956 edition of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution read: "Teen-Agers Agog At Presley Show - Teen-aged Atlantans turned out en masse to applaud Elvis Presley, semihillbilly singing sensation, who appeared on stage at the Fox Theater during matinee and evening shows Wednesday. Turnaway throngs, predominantly "rock and roll" fans, are expected again Thursday, the final day here for the RCA-Victor recording artist." March 14th and 15th, 1956,

Helen, GA - Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River, this NE Georgia village has a rich history linked to the Cherokee Indians and Indian burial mounds, as well as early settlers who arrived to mine for gold and cut virgin timber for a thriving lumber industry in the early 1900s. Helen is a re-creation of an alpine village complete with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers.

Named after the number of steps between it's front door and the edge of the sea, 99 Steps now boast beautiful planked walls, pocket windows, exposed rafters and refinished hardwood floors. Jane slipcovered inexpensive peices of furniture with hard-wearing blue and white-striped upholstery fabric by Waverly.
