Mary Tuma’s exhibition titled ‘Homes for the Disembodied’. Five dresses made from 50 metres of continuous black silk, hung facing the same way. Visually beautiful of course, but it holds a much deeper meaning too; paying tribute to Palestinian women and their strength perceived as mere shadows during the war. The idea of empty dresses evoke a sense of loss or belonging.
