Books I Love
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. ~Charles W. Eliot
Daily Rituals by Mason Currey via Remodelista. On my to read list
Gnomes, one of my favorite books growing up.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
'Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again'... From the memorable opening line to the melodramatic denouement, this book is full of suspense, mystery and romance. The unnamed protagonist has to confront (the haunting ever-present reminders of) the seemingly perfect Rebecca in order to allow herself a life of her own. Gloriously gothic and reminiscent of Jane Eyre, it is also a rip-roaring pageturner.
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
Good Omens. Effing love this book. So much. "It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people." And, it's freaking hilarious, too. ♥
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
Lonely Werewolf Girl by Martin Millar
