I like this idea. Start the year with an empty jar and fill it with notes about good things that happen. Then, on New Year's Eve, empty it and see what awesome stuff happened that year. I think it'll be a good way for me to keep stuff in perspective.
Have children pick out one toy they have been wanting. At the end of the day, if their clothes pin is on the "good behavior" side they get Pom poms put in their jar. If they are in the red, they have some taken away. When jar is full they get their reward.....might need to try this one. Any new ideas to help with disciplining can't hurt to try!
