Nothing is more British than a conscious will to annoy the French.
Charlie Chaplin (16 April 1889 – 25 December 1977) was a British comic actor and filmmaker who rose to fame in the silent era. Chaplin became a worldwide icon through his screen persona "the Tramp" and is considered one of the most important figures of the film industry. He refused to move to sound films in the 1930s, instead producing City Lights (1931) and Modern Times (1936) without dialogue. This cat was rescued by this guy and raised until be got too big to keep at home. The cat was then retrained to hunt and was returned to the African wilds. This picture was taken 2-3 years later when the guy visited the area for the first time and the cat recognized him immediately and this is their reunion moment. True story.
