contact paper, wire, tissue paper stained glass sculpture. I have tons of contact paper and tissue paper, and I've used them together before, so why didn't I think of this idea for Chihuly sooner?!

  • Margot Guerra

I want to do this with my 3rd graders but I don´t know how to put it together!

  • phyl

@Maria Guerra - you just need to find a way to attach all the bottle tops. You could twist pipe cleaners or wire around the necks and twist them together or probably even just tie them all together with string or cord of some sort. Use your imagination!

What about using a hole puncher and fishing line?

  • phyl

@Lauren Kruse -I'm not sure how you'd get a hole puncher through the plastic bottle, but hey, if you can figure out a way to make it work, go for it! I suppose you could punch holes with a punching awl (sharp pointy thing) or with a hot glue gun.

Upper Elementary Chihuly, I love that they could be involved with the process of manipulating the plastic with the heat gun.
