Vanilla Extract 101 - Clean the microwave and leave it smelling sweet with this household trick! Mix 2 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a microwave-safe container, and zap it on high for five minutes. When it's done, remove the container and wipe down the interior of the oven. Any gunk should slide right off.
Clean the microwave with water and vanilla extract. Add a few drops of vanilla to a bowl of water and cook in the microwave for 5 minutes. The steam will make the microwave walls SO easy to clean and your kitchen will smell great!
THE *BEST* TUB CLEANER- Heat 1/2 cup of vinegar in microwave for 90 seconds, then pour in spray bottle and add 1/2 cup BLUE Dawn dish soap. Shake to mix well. If you want your house to smell heavenly, boil some orange peels with a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon on Medium heat.
Every couple of months sprinkle a mixture of baking soda and a tablespoon of your favorite fabric softener over your mattress, let it sit for an hour, and then vacuum it up. Gets rid of dust mites and freshens up the mattress. Keep that same mixture in a small mason jar with holes poked in the top in your linen or clothes closet to keep it smelling fresh!
