Group Expectations. I really liked this poster because it's fun and pleasant to look at. I think it's important to have classroom rules and expectations up around the classroom so the students have reminders about acceptable behavior. Just dip the end in acrylic paint and print festive patterns on your wrapped gifts. Let the paint dry before adding bows and ribbons.

Footprint Christmas tree ~Use childs Foot print for the tree. And either Paint or use embellishments (stickers, or scrap book stickers), or pieces of cut out paper. Lay the pieces out, adhere w/glue. ~As a final touch, label your artwork w/phrase, name using a computer or a fine-tip permanent marker.

Geometry Fun through the arts! I have a geometry unit coming up for my 5th graders. I think I will use this idea but include some parameters for my kids. For example, I could require the shapes in the center to be twice the size of the same shapes on the outside - as if looking through a magnifying glass - just to add some more math!
