The Four Noble Truths is considered one of the most fundamental of the Buddha’s teaching. Honored here as a calligraphy in a high form of Uchen script. High Uchen is a specialized honorific script style originating in the 15th-16th century in central Tibet. This script form was mostly used for illuminated title pages of Tibetan manuscripts.
