Crafts by the book

More salvaged bricks that have been painted to look like they belong in an old library. The faux literature is the brilliant work of Daryl Fitzgerald, who transforms the bricks by stenciling them on both sides with titles of literary classics.

I have seen this done lately with a number of classic novels - redacting words to make the printed page deliver a specific message. Quite smart.

Roses made from old book pages... I feel a little like the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland while painting these...
