I love this...have the parent write the address at Open House and then send a positive note home for each student at some point during the year. The first one should be a thank you note for attending the event.

Pick six students every Friday and write them a special note on their desks for them to find Monday morning. Keep a list and start again when everyone in the class has been done.

My no-sew easy to move "safety-curtain" for my classroom door. It is a dowel rod and command hooks spray painted with oil rubbed bronze and drawer pulls hot glued to the ends. A no-sew curtain long enough to cover the door and then some is draped over the rod so the pattern shows from the outside too. Then I rolled up the material and then used Velcro to attach the ribbons. Now I can quickly cover my classroom door window if needed.

Group Expectations. I really liked this poster because it's fun and pleasant to look at. I think it's important to have classroom rules and expectations up around the classroom so the students have reminders about acceptable behavior. I would probably hang this by a group work area in a classroom for a younger grade.
