Homemade carpet cleaning solution: 1 cup oxiclean, 1 cup febreze, 1 cup distilled white vinegar. Pour contents in shampooer tub and mix with hot water to fill tub completely. This will not only clean your carpets, it will also deoderize. It will smell slightly of vinegar until the carpet is dry.
1/2 bottle of "Jet Dry" 4 Tablespoons Alcohol 1/4 Cup Ammonia 1 handful of powdered dish-washer soap 2 Gallons of Hot Water Squirt windows with powerful spray nozzle. Use long handled brush (or a big sponge) to dip in solution and scrub windows thoroughly. Then just spray windows thoroughly to rinse.../

My grandma taught me this many years ago. Refreshing towels I use this trick all the time since I noticed my towels smelling funky. It works! - Over time, towels build up detergent and fabric softener, leaving them unable to absorb as much water and smelly. Recharge them by washing them once with hot water and 1cup vinegar, then a 2nd time with hot water and half cup baking soda. This strips the residue and leaves them fresh and able to absorb more water again. Works like a charm!
