My Better Homes and Gardens Dream Home
My dream home would have to have comfortable guest rooms for when the kids and grandkids come to visit. This room looks so relaxing - a great place to sink into the pillow after traveling!
This is the type of family room I would like in my dream home. Space, storage, and versatility. The TV is NOT the dominating feature of the room - the furniture is arranged for conversation. However, the room is big enough to rearrange things for a family movie night. Lots of storage and comfortable furniture make this room ideal no matter what is happening.
Collaborative Space THIS IS IT, crisp, clean, with flare, and useful for both. Do you need an office for more than one person? Use a dining table as a desk and place it perpendicular to a wall so several people can sit at the table at once. This table bumps up against a wall of built-ins, which add storage. A large bookcase also works wonders for an office setup like this
I know this is supposed to be a home office, but in my dream home, I would love a craft room like this. The built-ins would be wonderful for organizing my sewing and crafting materials, also the bookcase. The large table would work well for cutting fabric, sewing machine set up, spreading out scrapbooking - whatever! The window seat would be an ideal place to relax and do some quilting, knitting, or crocheting.
My dream home would have most of the features in this kitchen. I love: white cabinets, a few (not all) see-through cabinet doors, an island with seating for people who like to hang out with me while I cook, windows above the sink. I also love the brick sides on the island. This bright and cheerful kitchen makes me smile just to look at it!
Better Homes and Gardens
This dining room would go in my dream house because it has everything I want in a dining room: it is spacious, comfortable and simple. There are lots of windows and natural light. The hardwood floor is beautiful and practical. The table is a nice size, although I would like a longer table, or add an identical one, end-to-end, because I love having LOTS of family and friends over! I also like the look of the grayish-green walls with the white trim. What a great gathering place!
another thing my dream home would have is a fireplace. I particularly like this one - I like the gray-ish brick and the white surround. What I really love is the high mantel - plenty of room on that wide space below to have the "stockings hung by the chimney with care ..."
In my dream home, I would love a living room full of neutral color like this because it would be so much fun to change the accessories frequently for holidays and seasons ... and just when I'm in the mood!
my dream home would definitely have a walk-in shower ... I'm tired of climbing into the tub to take a shower!! LOVE the floor-to-ceiling glass walls on this one
Walk-In Shower Ideas
L-Shape Window Seat - a window seat in the kitchen would be part of my dream home because I've found that people tend to gather in my kitchen ... so why not make them comfy? It also looks great - very inviting!
