Use a magazine rack ($3-$4 at Walmart) ...tip it on its' side and put your pantry cans in it.
Acrylic paint (enamel works even better, but it's more expensive) on a few smooth rocks, then placed here and there in my garden, makes a surprise treat for the eyes. I make sure to use non-toxic paints, 'cause my garden toad lives out there.
An Almost Foolproof Way to Grow an Avocado from a Seed. Eat avocado, rinse seed, get a paper towel wet, wrap around seed, put in a corner of a plastic baggie, twist closed (so I can do 2-3 per baggie), toss under kitchen sink for a while. Check back in a week or so to make sure paper towel is still damp (re-wet if necessary) and then plant when it's sprouted to satisfaction.
