It is also safe to add to juice and drink. Read about it on the internet. For different people it does different things. I used to have fine and hair that would break and fly away when blow drying and it took forever to grow! Not now. Thicker, healthier hair that grows! It's use on a farm is for calves to kill parasites from eating literally crap on the ground. The crushed shells are second hardest to diamonds which when you take them internally are a pretty good cleanser. Again, read up On anything before trying it. I don't take it all the time but will for a couple of weeks then take a break. And yes, it killed my ants, bugs on my roses and kept my potatoes clean of bugs. Oh, when planting your potatoes, put a couple of matches with them. Sulphur keeps potatoe bugs away!

I "dust" my pigs with DE. I put it in a strainer & shake over there backs, kind of like doing icing sugar on cookies, You do it close enough to the backs so you don't create a lot of dust flying in the air. I have very healthy & happy pigs. I also so my chickens. DE is great stuff!

Cats get that treatment here too! Must be careful to not inhale the dust from it. That is a bad thing ! Do you put it in your piglet pens to prevent scours? When I worked in a farrowing barn I used oatmeal flakes or something. It's been a few years.

I have never had a scours problem.. touch wood lol
