Saw these at Red in Fredericksburg – a super-fun shop with lots of stuff I would adorn my house with. At first I shuddered to think of desecrating a book, but then I thought I could use an outdated encyclopedia and turn it into art. Repurposed Book Art. She loved the look and knew she could easily replicate it with a canvas and a book she didn’t mind dedicating to the cause. Tree with leaves from magazine and old book pages. Use laminator or contact paper to cover leaves after students finishing drawing on them. Here bright colored papers and drawing tools make a "loud" tree. This is an awesome idea. plasticizing paper ~~ with hardware store silicon to make an oilcloth-like fabric...can sew it, etc. You could do this with art papers too!
