Strips of large natural banana leaves are hand-pieced together, then backed with lightweight cheesecloth to create a distressed wood plank look. Varied speckled shades of naturals, browns, and blacks make each sheet unique. The strips run horizontally along the 22" width of the paper. Handmade in Thailand. 100% Banana fiber. 22" x 30"

Stronger & more durable than single unryu, the reversible paper is created by hand-laminating & crumpling two contrasting sheets of unryu w/ a neutral polyvinyl acetate-based adhesive. This process gives the paper a coarse texture & adds weight to the sheet. When wet, the paper has a great deal of elasticity. It is an excellent paper for bookbinding, boxmaking, book art, frames, & decorative projects. 24" x 35". Made in Thailand. 100% Kozo. 2 natural deckles, 2 cut edges.
