SO. I found it THE best chocolate chip cookie recipe out there. So, for those of y'all who had my adapted version the other day. Here's what I did differently. 1. I love butter as much as the next girl, but I'm happiest with the texture of my baked goods (cookies, mostly) when I do 1/2 margerine, 1/2 butter. 2. No turbinado sugar. Too much work. 3. Sea salt in the batter. One full teaspoon. I only had coarse sea salt so I ground it to medium-course-ish in my little bowl/pestal. 4. I like chocolate chips, so that's what I used. 5. Let the dough chill in the fridge for about an hour. Then, divide it into four roughly-equal lumps & roll into 10" logs. I cut 1/2" cookies & smooshed them with my hand onto the parchment-lined sheet. So good.

Unlike pico de gallo, it's more like a salsa you'd get in a Mexican restaurant served with chips before you get dinner. This is perfect for the winter months when tomatoes aren't in season but you're craving a fresh simple appetizer. It's a go to recipe of mine when we have a houseful of guests. I can throw it togeth
