A dramatic rendition of the fatal torpedo that sank the Lusitania. From what I've read, the explosion was severe enough to cut power to the ship's electricity and engines, meaning that their speed could not be adjusted and the force pushed water into the ship at such a rate that lead to it's sinking in a mere 18 minutes. I believe this print is the work of Ken Marschall, world renowned for his Titanic art.
