Kilauea is the most active Volcano in the world. Located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, some 30 miles southwest of Hilo, it is a flat shield low volcano and the newest of a series of volcanoes, which have created the Hawaiian Archipelago. Currently, producing 250,000 to 650,000 cubic yards of lava per day, the volcano draws the attention of many travelers from all corners of the world.
