Put class list in a frame to easily mark and erase. It would be cool to add a line at the top where you could write what you're checking off such as "Field Trip Money." that way you can easily keep track with a collection and the kids can see it, eliminating the constant questions! *SR, I think I'd organize it differently but the idea is great!
The ULTIMATE Teaching Survival Binder: Black and White With Pops of Color Theme
This is one of FIVE themes that I have made for my ULTIMATE Teacher Binder collection! :) You will NEVER have to thumb around your desk and filing cabinets for what you need. You will already have it in your binder...organized and neatly placed! After teaching for 6+ years, I finally did it and I'm super proud of it! I spoke to several of my fellow educators and found out what they needed at their fingertips and this is what I came up with. 240 pages of organization! $
With having so many workbooks inside desks, I just swipe a fat Mr. Sketch marker along the bottom pages of the book. That way, when the books are piled inside their desks, they can see the colors! When I ask my students to take out a book, I'll say something like, "Please take out your Grammar Green book!" It really does help, and it makes transitions quicker and easier! And after a few weeks, my kiddos will be telling me which book is which!
This a great closure activity/strategy to any lesson. Students can reflect on their learning.
