RSCC OTA Adaptive Equipment Projects

Adaptive book holder for people with weak upper extremities or high level spinal cord injuries. It also has a weighted book mark to hold pages open.

Water faucet extention. Can be helpful for those in a wheelchair, people with limited ROM in their UE's, or small children who have trouble reaching their hands all the way under the faucet. Very handy, can be made out of basically any plastic bottle or cup, is inexpensive, and easy to create!

"Handy Helper" carrying strap, to help you carry your laundry basket with limited or no use of one hand/arm.

Adaptive baby changing table. Portable, easy to take on and off, and was under $30 to make!

The Bra Assistant, for a woman with a hemiplegic arm. Just put the lanyard around your neck, clip the bottom clip to your pants, and attach the side clip (facing the affected side) the the bra. Then pull it around to hook, all with one hand. I made this with items in my house, no cost out of pocket.

Never bend over again to feed your pets! This is a simple way to feed and water while standing up!
