Books Worth Reading
The Nesting Place: It Doesn't Have to Be Perfect to Be Beautiful by Myquillyn Smith www.amazon.com/...
Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder. So I have a boy, but we're still going to read the whole series. Fabulous descriptions of life on the American frontier and amazing detail on how things were done in "the old days" from harvesting and processing maple syrup to building log cabins to weaving straw hats. Perfect book for any age.
Fav series!! To top it off, she's a (very) distant cousin!!
gardener and the grill .. on my books to be read...
The Secret Life of Bees
Makes my Mum cry every time....now its my turn
(O) "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. A great *fictional* adventure book about thousand-year-old clues, secret societies, detective work, chases, and puzzles. The book presents itself as factual, referring to supposedly-real background, but there are many, major inaccuracies. Read it just for fun, not for revelation.
Awesome- such a complex storyline, but Dan Brown is able to tie every single detail together at the end.
Twenty-two-year-old Skeeter has just returned home after graduating from Ole Miss. She may have a degree, but it is 1962, Mississippi, and her mother will not be happy till Skeeter has a ring on her finger. Skeeter would normally find solace with her beloved maid Constantine, the woman who raised her, but Constantine has disappeared and no one will tell Skeeter where she has gone.
