Plume - Royal Peacocks Broke down and bought some for handbags!
3D hand portrait: I tried this using colored pencils in black, blue, purple, and orange. It worked well and was a big hit with my children. If using crayon or pencil, it helps if you shade the area where the curve and straight lines meet a little darker. I can think of all kinds of ways you could use this. Great art lesson or rainy day activity.
FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS: Kids make an abstract painting on the thicker paper, use stampint, oil spastel etc. Then take a photo of their profile, glue to back of painted paper so they can see their image, allow to dry, cut out silhouette, and glue to a masonite board that has been painted and textured ( perhaps the credit card dragging technique.
Blow me a kiss.
