From exhibit: 4th Grade Snowmen at Night - After studying the color qualities illustrated in the snow and snowmen in the books "Snowmen at Night" and "Snowmen at Christmas," fourth grade students created their own snowmen at night. We learned about cropping while creating the initial composition, and then painted all the snow with white tempera paint. Oil pastel was used to color the details, and chalk pastel was applied to the snow to give it that beautiful, colorful snowy look! fourth grade, chalk pastels, art museum, art idea, oil pastels, grade 2 art, snowman art, christma, art projects
