TARTIFLETTE (potato & cheese casserole, a French comfort food): 3 large potatoes, peeled and sliced; 7 slices bacon, chopped; 1 T butter; 1 large onion, sliced; 1/4 cup white wine; 2 T creme fraiche; 1 (8 oz) round Reblochon cheese; salt & ground black pepper to taste. [[You can substitute Brie or Munster for Reblochon cheese.]]

Frozen Cosmopolitans 2 oz cranberry juice 1½ oz orange or citrus vodka ¾ oz triple sec ½ oz fresh lime juice Lime wedge, for garnish Combine the cranberry juice, vodka, triple sec, and lime juice in a blender with 4 or 5 ice cubes. Blend until smooth. Pour into a martini glass with the lime wedge. NOTE: For the Frozen Blue Cosmopolitan, use the same recipe as above, but substitute blue curacao for the triple sec and white cranberry juice for red.
Piccadilly Punch 1 oz BULLDOG GIN 2 oz Pineapple juice2 oz Cranberry Juice Perrier Sparkling Water Combine BULLDOG Gin, pineapple and cranberry juice in a cocktail glass filled with ice. Purple Rain Martini 2½ oz pomegranate-infused sake 2½ oz pineapple juice ½ oz Chambord Combine the infused sake, pineapple juice, and Chambord in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled martini glass. NOTE: To make pomegranate-infused sake, combine 1 liter of sake with the seeds of 2 pomegranates. Let infuse for 1 week. (If pressed for time, combine 2½ oz pomegranate juice.)
Purple Rain Martini
Kiwi Royale - 2 slices of kiwi, cut into quarters, plus an extra slice for garnish. 1 oz midori, 1 oz pineapple juice, 4 oz sweet sparkling wine. Combine the kiwi. Midori, and pineapple juice a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and pour into a highball glass. Top off with sparkling wine. Garnish with an additional kiwi slice, if desired.
