Homemade Bacon Vodka "makes up one pint Fry up three strips of bacon. Add cooked bacon to a clean pint sized mason jar. Trim the ends of the bacon if they are too tall to fit in the jar. Optional: add crushed black peppercorns. Fill the jar up with vodka. Cap and place in a dark cupboard for at least three weeks. That’s right- I didn’t refrigerate it. Pomegranate & Purple Basil Gin Smash: 1 bunch of purple basil, 3-4 tbs. of pomegranate seeds, 2 oz. gin, 1 oz. simple syrup, 1/2 oz lemon juice. Place all ingredients in a shaker and smash pomegrante seeds and basil with a muddler. Add ice and shake until shaker is almost too cold to hold. Pour and serve.
