I can't cook or craft worth a damn, but I'm a mean organizing and cleaning machine. Here are my fave products that enable my OCD.
I use this IKEA shelf insert to maximize the storage under the guest bathroom sink.
I've had this double sided hanging jewelry organizer for several years, and it's the bomb. You can find it at Lillian Vernon for $12.98
I use these when I'm washing something for the first time. Thanks, Mom, for the tip.
Febreeze is great for freshening furniture and drapes, of course, but here's another tip - take a travel size bottle with you on trips. I use it in Vegas when my coat starts reeking of cigarette smoke from the casinos.
12-Pocket Hosiery Organizer from The Container Store. I use it for tights, Spanx, and knee highs. There's a great large, open pocket on the back perfect for unopened packages of tights, support garments, etc.
I think the black color adds a bit of sophistication to this Longaberger Holds It All basket. I use this in my bedroom to store clothes I need to take to the dry cleaner. It's too beautiful to stash away in a laundry room.
You can find this for $9.99 at Target. The online reviews aren't great, but for the price I find it a good product. It's best for flats and flip flops, not heels. I use it on the floor of my closet.
Liquid Bar Keepers Friend - plate scratch remover, stainless steel sinks, spots on my counter, maintain the all-white sink and counters, white electric stovetop, white porcelain sink, a ton of things in the bath/kitchen area, Ceramic Sinks as well and Copper Pots, I use Barkeepers friend for everything. There is also a powdered version of Bar Keepers Friend.
I use this for the kitchen sink, and am told it also buffs out scratches on dishes. It's sometimes hard to find in stores - try Home Depot or Bed Bath and Beyond.
Body Shop hand soap in Satsuma - the smell is the best!
I primarily use this on wood, but I like that it works for multiple surfaces.
