Carpet Shampoo Solution: 1 cup oxiclean* 1 cup febreeze* 1 cup distilled white vinegar *The homemade versions work fabulously! Pour contents into shampooer tub and mix with hot water to fill tub completely. This will not only clean your carpets it will also deodorize. It will smell slightly of vinegar until the carpet is dry. Be sure to test spot with the solution just to be safe, however this should be safe for ALL carpets.

My mom also swears by this. Cleaning your toilet with coca cola will get out the nastiest stains! Take your favorite liquid fabric softener and soak an old hand towel or flour cloth completely with it. Wring it out and let it dry completely, then throw it in with your next load. This mega-fabric softener sheet should be good for at least 40 loads of laundry, stretching out softener use and lessening waste.

Mix 2 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a microwave-safe container, and zap it on high for five minutes. When it's done, remove the container and wipe down the interior of the oven. THIS is the recipe that works! No cloudy plastic dishes! 1 cup Borax, 1 cup washing soda, 1/4 cup kosher salt, 1/4 cup Lemi-Shine. 1-2 T per load. Before you run each load, splash 1/2 to 1 cup white vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher and add 3 drops of Dawn. The vinegar and Dawn make a big difference!
