While I don't want to say "fake it 'til you make it," in praying when you "just don't wanna," you will often find that the appetite does come with the meal. Love is not primarily an emotion; it is an act of the will, and thereby freeing. It's a concrete way of learning to pray, and it's approaching discipline-- particularly when it comes to the virtues-- with baby steps.
Ain't it the truth!! Always forgive yourself for being ignorant of rights and wrongs. We all make mistakes. If God doesn't hold it against you, then you shouldn't live in shame, holding it against yourself. That's not what was intended for our lives. What we should feel and enjoy about life is describe fairly well in Ecclesiastes.
As long as you think you can do everything in your own power, you can stand proudly without ever asking God for help, It takes humility to admit that you are not not perfect, but don't wait for life to knock you down to get to that point, acknowledge Him in your life now, and He will lift you up.......
